BNHS Guildhall Supper

Historic Event held by the Blakeney Neighbourhood Housing Society, The candlelit seafood supper was a most enjoyable and successful fund-raising event held in the historic Blakeney Guildhall on Saturday, 19 June, in spite of the northerly gale blowing straight in. The Housing Society is very grateful to the flautist, Wyatt Earp, and his accompanist, Kathleen, who thoroughly deserved their suppers having entertained everybody with their melodies; Desmond McCarthy for giving the strawberries, and Willie Weston and Picnic Fayre for supplying the seafood and wine respectively; Pooh Curtis for providing the beautiful flower arrangements; John Cucksey, the official photographer; and most of all Maureen Lait and her team, who made it all happen. None of this could have taken place without permission from English Heritage (and its very helpful caretaker, Joan Wade), and the Blakeney Parish Council. The Blakeney Sailing Club very kindly supplied the electricity for the musicians
