The Benefice For some years, the 9 parishes of the area from the coast inland as far south as Gunthorpe, were been organised into 2 groups - the benefice of Stiffkey (Stiffkey, Morston, Langham and Binham), and the benefice of Bale (Bale, Gunthorpe, Sharrington, Saxlingham, Field Dalling) each with a resident incumbent. These have subsequently been formally established by Order in Council as the present benefice of Stiffkey and Bale, the incumbent residing at the Langham Rectory.
