Stiffkey is situated in a very attractive river valley on the main coast road, the A149. It attracts walkers, sailors and birdwatchers. The local population of just over 200 is often increased by a substantial number of second home owners, and visitors. We welcome them warmly and value their support.

Tourism and agriculture, are prominent in the local economy. The village has a shop and post office, a pub with overnight accommodation and a large campsite. The WI, cricket team, Monday Mardlers, and history, reading, music and keep fit groups help to maintain a strong community spirit. Our popular annual summer fete provides traditional entertainment for residents and visitors. It generates welcome funds for the Church and other local causes. Church members support local ventures including drawing up a village plan. The community supports the Church well in efforts to fund major fabric projects

The Church itself is a well maintained 14th Century flint and stone building, with a square tower. It has recently been redecorated and is having extensive renovations to most windows. The churchyard is kept tidy by willing volunteers.

The church membership is small but committed. There are 17 on the electoral role and 12 members of an active PCC with a full complement of officers. The average attendance at most services is 10 with much larger congregations at major festivals. Most Sunday services are shared with Langham church and two each month are lay led. In our prayers and planning we seek to develop links with the rest of the benefice. Our finances are sound and we pay our parish share in full each year. Each year a team of parishioners complete the Sponsored Cycle Ride for our church funds and the Norfolk Churches Trust.

The regular Friday morning Eucharist, and the fortnightly fellowship group provide further opportunities for spiritual growth. Over the last five years we have completed an extensive programme of Bible study.
